I just got back from class where I gave my first presentation of the semester. PHEW, relief is taking over. I spent my entire Sunday cooped up in my crib researching, structuring and pasting together a 15-20 minute topic on ethnicity within advertising. My mind is mush, but Monday’s over with!!! Only ONE class stands between me and Easter break shenanigans! YEEE-HAWWW! Life is good.
Since I last updated, much has happened. The past two weekends I’ve spent here in Wellington, soaking up the nightlife with some great buddies. Let’s just say my Fridays and Saturdays consisted of brews, Burger King, being “busted” in the Basin (large field behind Massey’s apartments), building buddies with young Maori friends, Boogie-Wonderland, bustin’ a move and bouncing in and out of numerous clubs around Cuba Street and Courtenay Place. Great, great weekends.
Last week, Kristen’s Aunt Sue & company visited Wellington. It was really nice to meet a few relatives of my fellow American friend! It made me even more excited for my visitor to get here in less than 5 weeks! Shout out to Kas (; Kristen, Nicole and I took advantage of Auntie’s stellar suit by having a sleepover at the Amora Hotel with her on Tuesday night. Although the pull-out sofa mattress Nicole and I slept on very much reflected that of an Equate band-aid, it was so fun to sleep in something other than my apartment for a night… not to mention way above any hostel I’ve checked into thus far (: Wednesday was spent roaming around Wellington on a bit of a shopping spree with Nicole. We grabbed ‘za from the well-known Heaven pizza, intensely browsed the store 2 Cheap (similar to Dollar General’s) and I also bought new kicks that make me fit into the Kiwi culture a bit more (or so that’s...
