Gon, Git You A White Man Then, Heffa!
I was going over some old bookmarks a few days ago and found some blogs I subscribed to for BW+ WM interracial love/dating and issues a few years back. At the time I was happy to see them since I like white men and I'm always interested in finding information about these kinds of pairings.
However, I like for people to keep it positive. My attraction for white men has nothing to do with anger or resentment against black men or anger and jealousy towards white women. One blog in particular raises my hackles because the writer frames the discussion - or rather frames and shapes the entire blog as an instrument to bash black men and denigrate black women who prefer black men. In fact, there are several that do this. People do what they want. Why jump on them for not seeing things from your viewpoint? Some black women stay in damaged relationships with black men because that's what they want. But it isn't just black women who have this problem. A lot of women, no matter what race seem to have this issue. Believe it or not, some people like chaos and drama. If they wanted something other than drama, they would choose it. Besides, most black men are not damaged, evil or looking to hurt and harm black women. Some of these ladies need to chill, for real.
She refers to black men in general as DBRs. That's Damaged Beyond Repair, for those that don't know. Yes, we all know plenty of black men who fit this category but when reading her site, I get the impression that she sees all black men as DBR, no matter the evidence to the contrary. She seems to take pleasure in castigating black women who for whatever reason prefer to date within their own race. But isn't this normal behavior? People have their attractions and often these attractions are fixed. Some people are fluid in their attractions. Others aren't. It is what it is. Many black women do find good black men.
