Past programs have featured travel to China, Montenegro, and Antarctica. My guests have spoken about everything from exotic trips they have taken to cruises they've been on.
Recent guests include Chef Harry Schwartz of the PBS TV Series "Chef Harry and his Celebrity Friends" and Paul Davis, MD a cruise ship doctor who spoke about health considerations to consider when taking a cruise. I welcome guests who have a product to sell but want to focus on tips that they have regarding travel.
My goal is to provide my listeners with a program that they look to for information to prepare for future vacations that they plan to take. The 45 minute program starts out with some house keeping and special promos to the location you will talk about and a little about your background. Your portion of the program is approximately 30 minutes in length. The loose agenda covers things such as: travel documentation needed, packing tips, modes of transportation used, a little about the destination including: location, people, culture, language, food, etc., things to do, where you stayed, most enjoyable things you did, what you would do if you had it all to do over, etc...
What kinds of guests and experts do you want to interview?
1) People who've just come back from trips to exotic
locations or from major cities in the US and around the world.
2) People who run specialized travel businesses (eg.
safaris, ballooning, vineyards, photo tours or spas)
3) People who promote travel on the major cruise lines such
as Holland America, etc.
4) People who can talk about the newest cruise ships.
5) People who own and operate special event facilities near
or close to popular destinations (eg. helicopter rides in NYC, paddle boats
in Fairbanks Alaska, Halls of Fame, etc.)
