Q: I'm traveling to Toronto Canada in Jan 2011 and I am looking for events to go to while I'm over there for the whole year. I plan to travel from Toronto to Vancouver and so I'm covering a lot of ground and would love to go to and see as many things as possible. Such events that interest me include: Music Concerts, Golf, Hockey, Football, Sporting events in general, Live shows, Comedy.. basically anything entertaining..
Thank You
A: :O
Q: Can any body tell me what time the start of Video Music Awards 2010, and what tv chanel in Toronto?
Thank you very much.
A: Channel 39 and will be shown on October 3rd at 9:00 pm.
Q: With the rise in charity fraud, does anyone actually trust those door to door canvassers anymore? One recent example where I live was a girl in her 20's who started a bogus cancer fund, and even went as far as to lose 40 pounds and shave her hair off. She had local businesses here in Toronto run events, and raised over $10,000. The only thing is she wasn't sick, and is now being prosecuted for fraud.
So with that in mind, I always ask those door to doors, or even the people lining the streets downtown with clipboards, for a license. So far none of them seem to have any legal license to work for any charity.
Can anybody with a clipboard and access to a computer and some basic graphic design skills start a bogus charity and wander the streets collecting money? If I want to donate money, I usually just do it to a reputable web based charity site.
It is terribly offensive, Google "Toronto" and "cancer fraud" and you will get a tonne of opinions on it. This city is super upset about it, and she is all over the news.
A: I don't trust or welcome anyone who comes to my door wanting money. If I wanted to buy something, I know where the store is.
Q: If I dont Join The Main Event Can I Be In The Public Events
A: Yes, I think you can do that.
Q: What are your US Open 2010 predictions?
Name some top 10 players and tell me how far will they go....
Rafael Nadal:I'm his card core fan,but I have to say this:He is playing terrible, his serve is very weak, and his shots are loopy, short,he hasn't changed his strategy on hard courts(defending always),he is making tons of unforced errors, and his confidence is on an all time low,unfortunately...He lost to Murray in Toronto semifinals and to Bagdatis in Cincinnati quarterfinals, which are relatively OK results.I'm afraid he won't do so good at the US Open.Players like Kohlscrieber and Bennetau have pushed him to his limits, and those are the players he will have to face in a 2nd or 3rd round match at a Grand Slam event. He will probably have a shocking 3rd or 4th round elimination....I guess the next time I see my Rafa with a trophy will be in Monte Carlo 2011... :(
Roger Federer:I hate him beyond every hatred imaginable because he is unbelievably cocky, but I have to say I'm 100% sure he will win....There is absolutely no doubt he will win...He was a runner up at Toronto and a winner at Cincinnati, which makes him the Olympus US Open Series winner. He is definitely playing far from his best, but he is fighting really hard.Although he is struggling with a huge amount of unforced errors he is serving brilliantly,I mean he has not lost a service game in Cincinnati....Also other players are playing really awful, its not even funny!!!!
Novak Djokovic-He will probably have a cake walk draw at this US Open(like always)....He is playing really bad, year after year he is getting worse, but with another easy draw and some OK form I think it will be enough for him to reach the semifinals for the 4th time in a row...
Andy Murray-He was playing great at Toronto,he beat both Nadal and Federer in straight sets, but he got tired in Cincinnati....I think he can do good,US Open is his favorite Grand Slam after Wimbledon, and I think he could reach the finals if he remains healthy and fit....In the final he will not stand a chance against Federer....
Robin Soderling-He has not been playing very well this year(except the US Open),a lot of ups and downs, but relatively an OK year, maybe his best so far...He is pretty mentally strong(most of the time)and if he has an easier draw he could get through to the quarterfinals, but not more....
Andy Roddick-He has had a pretty disappointing yea s far(not including Indian Wells and Miami)....He has had some major upsets in Grand Slams, but I would give him the same description as Djokovic and I really hope he gets well prepared mentally and physically-possibly a quarterfinal or semifinal if he goes in confident....
David Nalbandian-I know everyone thinks he will be the black horse and dangerous and everything, but he is not physically ready to shine...He gets tired after a tight 2 set match...He could not play 4 or 5 sets....Also he is very injury prone, but I hope he does well....My prediction:3rd round
Verdasco and Davydenko:both were very good at the beginning of this year, but as the year went on they were worse and worse...They are losing to qualifiers and they are completely out of form....They will lose in the 1st or 2nd round
Fish and Bagdatis will both do well based on their latest performances-4th round or more....
Ladies singles:
I would write more but I haven't got any more space left....I think Sharapova has the best chance....This is the chance of her life to win another slam....She is mentally strong and nerves wont stop her in a Grand Slam(unlike some other players)...I would love to see her win and I hope she will, unless she faces Kim Clijsters...I'm pretty sure she can beat Azarenka(who is doing excellent too)....This is a Grand Slam after all,and the best champions win,and I hope this time it will be her,and P.S.She has a fabulous black and green dresses which would look great with the trophy!!!
!-!@r!$!-! - The MUFC Fan-Henin isn't playing until Brisbane 2011 so she wont win...
A: Rafael Nadal

Montreal is Canada's 2nd largest city and it is by far the most passionate, exotic, artistic, cultural, and "European" city in North America. It's a traveler's dream! Lonely Planet has rated it one of the happiest places on earth for a reason!
Basically your trip won't be as great nor can you say that you traveled across Canada if you haven't been to Montreal. ;)
When you come to Vancouver, try the outdoorsy stuff too... The mountains are really close by and you should try snowboarding, skiing. Whale-watching if it's available the time you come- I'm not sure of the whales' migration cycles.
I'm not sure of the concert/show schedules that far ahead :S
As for golf, do you mean some kind of indoors golf? January wouldn't be the ideal time to be golfing outside, I would think XD
