What should I do upon graduation? Help!?
Q: I'm currently a 17 year old senior in California. I'll be moving out to New York in June and I'm having a little trouble figuring out what to do with my life. I got into San Francisco State and Brooklyn College, but college isn't really for me. Here is what I've been thinking...
-There are a few CC in New York that offer Pharmacy Technician training programs. I could complete one of these and then take the test to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician working at hopefully a hospital.
-There are a few CC in New York that also offer Real Estate classes. I would complete these classes and then become a certified real estate agent.
-Kingsborough Community College offers a Wedding Planner Training Program. I would become a certified wedding planner.
-Arrojo Cosmetology School has always been an interest of mine and it's basically the top cosmetology school in the nation.
-Attend M.U.D. (Make-Up Designory) and take their Fashion Make Up Artistry Program. I would work my way into doing make up for editorial photo shoots and backstage at runway shows.
-Finally attend New York Botanical Garden or The New York School of Flower Design and hopefully one day become a very high end florist and maybe even own my own floral shop.
Make Up Artistry, Wedding Planning and Floral Design are the three that I'm most interested in. I love being creative, love working with people and love working with high end clients. I'm interested mainly in fashion which is why I'm leaning toward Make Up Artist, but at the same time I love all the aspects of Floral Design. I'm just having a hard time deciding which would be the best option. Which one is going to provide me with a good career that I'm also going to enjoy? I'm really just looking for honest opinions! Don't hold anything back! Thanks!
