Any apartments in/ around the Orlando, Florida area that do not have breed restrictions?

Q: I am moving from the Gainesville area to the Orlando area. I'm looking for apartments that allow pit bulls or do not have breed restrictions. My apartment in Gainesville allows these dogs and does not have restrictions, so I know there are places that still exist that allow these dogs. I just have to find them.
I am looking for people who live in the area who already know of places. NOT people who have to do research.

A: We would all have to do the same research you're going to have to do. Google is your friend, not Y&A for this.

Individual landlords make these decisions. You will have to contact the landlord of any apartment you`re interested in to find out.

(APBT`s and Staffy`s are dogs for home owners, not renters!)

I don't know of any that will accept a pit bull since they are classified as an aggressive breed. It's ridiculous, but what're gonna do? You can try going to:http://www.peoplewithpets.com/states/orlando.asp, but I'm not sure. If you're willing for a long commute there's one in Altamonte Springs that accepts all breeds. Also try:http://www.floridapetpages.com/apartments2.asp?PickCity=Orlando. Good luck.

Edit: A warning about the one in Altamonte(it's called The Park at Vineridge btw). They tend to run steep, for a 600'sq. apartment it's a little more than $600 plus a $300 pet fee.
Another Edit: On the plus side from what I remember from visiting a friend there, they have an amazing play area. My dog thought he'd died and gone to doggy heaven.

What is the best Apartment tower in Downtown Orlando?

Q: I'm looking for a nice tower style apartment complex in downtown Orlando. Wondering if anyone knows any specific ones that are a good balance of price and features. It's hard to know what to move into without having some real answers so hopefully this will help. If you happen to know how much the rent is that would help.. i have a budget of $1000/month

A: Good question. I use to live in Camden Orange and 100% loved it (If you go in, drop my name. I used to live in 2107. I love the mgr Bobbie!!) It is not a tower, but is way worth it to have an upgraded unit. For that price range... I would say you could find a place 1x1 in the Waverly or Post Parkside. If you took it up $100-$200 you could find a place in the Solaire or 101 Eola. The tough thing about Downtown is parking, so many times it boils down to the spots you get and how much more they may be. Sean at Kelley Real Estate Group helped me find a place downtown.

Studios near Lake Bryan Orlando?

Q: Hi!
I'll soon me moving to Orlando to participate in an internship. I'm looking for apartments with furniture or preferably studios. Price range from $450 to $650. I have been looking for some time in the internet, but I'm running out of options. I'm no where near Orlando, so I can't drive around looking for them. Any suggestions or if by chance know someone who is renting one, please let me know, I would really appreciate. Good day and thanks in advanced!

I live in New Orleans and I would like to move there in 1 or 2 years and I want to be somewhat informed on these areas. Any other nice cities besides these or extra info would be greatly appreciated. Felling a little depressed lately. Any ways to cheer myself up?

Q: Lately, I've been a little down in the dumps. I've recently taken up a very busy schedule.

M/W: Class 9:30-10:45, Volunteer @ Dentist from 1-3, Work 4-Midnight
T/R/F: Field Experience from 9-12, Work 4-Midnight
Sat/Sun: Occasionally work... but am usually doing homework or driving to Orlando to deal with college and apartment stuff (I'm transferring to a 4 year university there this summer).

All of the time in between is spent either doing homework (I have 4 online classes on top of the M/W lecture class), eating, or sleeping.

So the stress of my schedule is one thing. Another problem is my girlfriend of over a year and a half was supposed to go to the same college as me this summer. However, she just found out that didn't get in. She will probably go to a community college at home and I will be 3-4 hours away. It's depressing but I know we are going to have to break up.

Also, I adopted a neglected dog (sheltie) 6 months ago. I cleaned him up, fed him, brought him to the groomer as well as the vet. He is the PERFECT dog when it comes to personality and being house trained. However, he had been neglected for so long that he has a lot of medical issues that I cannot afford. So tomorrow I am bringing him to the sheltie rescue in Orlando where they will find him a proper home that can afford the bills. I know he will be better off in the long run. It's just upsetting because I've gotten really attached.

I need to cheer myself up. I'm getting too depressed. Any advice?

A: When a student says, "I'm stressed out," the first question that comes to mind is about study skills. It's fairly common for students, even some college students, to get by with an inefficient set of study skills, working long hours for mediocre grades. The most cheerful piece of advice I can offer in this case is that the courses students tend to fear most, the ones that demand a lot of memorizing, are really the easiest ones.

If you're faced with a lot of memory-intensive courses, I can tell you without hesitation that the best way to deal with them, based on my experience as an undergraduate and graduate student, is to make a composite outline from your lecture notes and reading notes and then make that outline into a set of flashcards. When you drill with those cards, your memory of the outline works like Google, taking your question to the desired fact instantly. Anything easier would be cheating.

If you search with the words "study skills," you'll see a series of websites that offer study instructions. The ones that come up repeatedly, like active learning and flashcards, are probably the most important things. The publisher of Complete Idiot's Guide to Study Skills says that it's two authors, both having PhDs, "together have more than 20 years of college-level teaching."

It would of course be good if you could figure out which of the problems you complain of are the most stressful to you.

A therapist and researcher who’s an expert on healthy lifestyle this is Stephen Ilardi, PhD. In his book The Depression Cure, he explains the program for stress, anxiety, and depression he developed at his university. In addition to clinical studies of the program, each of his six lifestyle factors is supported by its own research. If you’re into jogging, you’ve already taken on the hardest part. Some of the lifestyle elements are as simple as taking fish oil capsules and keeping a special lamp on your desk.

If you google “stress reduction,” you’ll find a number of useful techniques. People will often tell you to meditate, which can be very helpful, but it’s not as if everybody knows how. To learn from the pros, google Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, or MBSR, and the name of your city. You might find a nearby provider of this U. of Mass. program, derived from traditional meditation. Or, you can buy a copy of The Mindful Way Through Depression, by the authors of a program offered in British clinics that, in a recent study, was as good as antidepressants in preventing relapse after depression.
