Water saving shower heads for Kathmandu
Hello all,
I guess this kind of posting to the group would not normally be allowed. However, let me make my case. There is a story behind this. An old hippy, Nepal-loving American once tried to fund his stay in Nepal some 4 or 5 years ago by bringing a box of water-saving shower heads with him to sell. He lived close to Thamel and figured, given the dire water situation there, that hotels would pay any amount of money to save water and improve their guests' low-pressure shower experience.
Needless to say he was met with blank stares and there was utter disinterest in his shower heads, despite the quality of the product.
So his plan was ruined and he was left very short of money. A kindly friend of mine took too much pity on him and bought them from him and since that day they've been in storage not saving any water at all.
If anybody has any ideas of what could be done with these, I'd love to hear from you. My friend would like to recoup his money back if possible. A guide price would be around $10 per shower head, although some negotiation would be possible.
There are many hundreds of litres of water waiting to be saved here!
In summary, they are the following:
