what is the decent amount of days to visit hong kong?

Q: my family and i are planning to visit hong kong next year june 2011. were wondering how much days we should stay in hong kong so that we can hit all the major & minor attractions and of course shopping districts.

places/things we plan on doing in hong kong:

-disneyland
-ocean park
-the peak
-macau
-SHOPPING is a must!

and everything else that hong kong has to offer. any suggestions?

A: For me:

Disney - 1 day
Ocean Park - 1 day
Peak - the view at night is much better for me
Macau - 1-2days perhaps
shopping - You can do your shopping at night, most stores open late and they close late as well, depending on how much you are planning to spend, "shopping spree" would be a good description.
Big Buddha (360 cable car) - you must try it, half day
Try the local foods there, it'll be a great experience.

as the places you mentioned, at least a day for each, I suggest you stay in Disneyland for a night, that'll be 2 days 1 night, for ocean park, you can go there in the morning, by evening you'll finish your tour, that's 1 day, for the peak i suggest day and night, so you can see both views.
macau i suggest you stay there for 2 nights, and lastly for shopping, you can do it anytime, so my suggestion is to plan a 10 day trip for both HK and Macau, there's more to do in HK than Macau, a 3 day 2 nights is more than enough for Macau, the rest for HK

3 decent days is good enough

Shopping districts lol stay to Causeway Bay and only Times Square/ Sogo. Then go over TST and thats it trust me.

Dont waste your money on Disneyland mate.

How much cigarettes can a person bring onto a plane from Hong Kong to Canada?

Q: How much cigarettes can a person bring onto a plane?
My dad wants me to bring smokes back to the States (US) from Hong Kong. I bought the smokes in China cuz it's cheaper here. But my aunt told me that each person could only bring 3 packs. We're flying through Air Canada (connected flight to Vancouver) from the Hong Kong airport.

A: 200 or 10 packs plus the odd open pack in your pocket

How much does a doctors visit cost in hong kong without insurance?

Q: What is the approximate cost of visiting a gp in hong kong if you don't have medical insurance?

A: If you go into one of the many private doctor clinics all over Hong Kong, depending on the experience of the doctor, the first visit to a general practitioner could cost you between US$25 to $40, including consultation and generic drugs. It could cost you a bit more if you go to one in commercial areas like in the middle of Central District.

It's been a few years since I went to a doctor at the Hong Kong Baptist Hospital in the urgent care department (kind of like an emergency room, but not quite) and the visit itself was relatively inexpensive. Maybe $120 HK (about $15 US). I had to have labwork done, though, for an infection and that was much more expensive . . . $1400 HK ($181 US). The medicine needed to treat the infection was only $28 HK ($3.60 US).

What is the difference between hong kong and cantonese style?

Q: What is the difference between Sweet and Sour chicken Hong Kong style and Sweet and sour chicken cantonese style?

A: Actually no difference at all really, perhaps only a slightly tangier sauce. The chicken fillet is fried in a light batter and chopped into pieces/slices. The sauce will have some or all of pineapple/onions (hong kong) /peppers/carrot

what is the best way to get to Hong kong island from Hong kong airport?

Q: Arriving late afternoon with 3 suitcases and would like to know the easiest hassle free way of getting to our hotel which is located near the happy valley race course in Hong Kong.

Do busses go that way from the airport or do i need to get on packed trains?

A: no direct buses can be going to the race course. so u hv to take the airport express train --> fr airport to HK station (abt 25mins) --> then shift a taxi outside the station --> approx. HKD$50-60 (including luggage's fee) u wil be at the hotel nearby the racing course. in HK, @ pce of luggage wil charge u extra $5. n the train, u can use the airport trolley to push it out all the way to the train.... so it can help u a bit.
