How risky is it flying into Edinburgh Scotland in late December?
Q: I am wanting to plan a trip to Scotland December 27 - January 7 and was wondering what the weather is normally like at this time. I am concerned about ice and snow and the risk of flight delays and cancellations. I'll be flying from the southern US with a connection in Amsterdam and then to Edinburgh. I know last year was really bad with ice and snow in December but have heard that was not the norm. Any advice would be appreciated!
A: It was an exceptionally cold winter last year with very unusual amounts of snow. In normal circumstances, there would be very few delays because of the weather.

Is there any cheap train returns from Edinburgh to London?
Q: I live in Edinburgh, but all my friends live in London and I miss them like hell. I really want to see them before the 22nd of August (that's when school starts) is there any cheap train fairs? Everything on the national express website seems to be £100 each way. I have a family and friends rail card if that makes any difference. And it would just be one child (under 15) traveling.

Is there a parking space by the Edinburgh Zoo?
Q: Me and my family are planning on a trip to Edinburgh Zoo, the problem is that we don't know is there a parking space by the zoo or we need to get the bus and what bus should we get.

The last time I went, it was really busy, but there is quite a big car park next to it. if you don't mind queuing for a space and getting out, take the car but if not take the bus.

You can park in the Zoo Car Park for £3.50. If you visit between 9.30am and 4.30pm, you can park on certain bits of the greenways on the main road outside. ♣

Edinburgh Zoo have their own parking area but sometimes it can be busy. However, we have never had a problem getting a space.

If you are staying in a hotel ask at reception.
If staying with friends, they can ring up and enquire. -
There is but it can be busy, the last time we waiting around 10 mins and then we were fine, and the fish were really great !!

Is it possible to have a stall at Edinburgh Festival selling art for one weekend only?
Q: I am an artist and would like to go up to Edinburgh for a weekend and take a stall if possible but everything I have found about the markets implies taking it for the whole of the festival.
