How can I get Amsterdam from Airport Weeze ( dusseldorf)?

Q: Im travelling from London, to Ryanair airport Dusseldorf ( weeze). And I want to go to Amsterdam.
How can I get amsterdam..? by bus, train..?¿

Thanks!

A: Forget about travelling via Düsseldorf since its a huge detour and takes at least 5 hours.

Order a taxibus which is departing hourly on request between 08:30 and 00:30 (12:30am). It takes you to the Arnhem train station in 1 hour and 10 minutes at a fare of € 18.00. The reservation for the taxibus must be made three days in advance either by phone or by e-mail.
http://www.taxi-hottgenroth.de/en/fahrplan.htm ..

From there you can step on intercity trains departing semi-hourly at minutes 00 and 30 between 06:00 and 23:00 (11:00pm) which take you to Amsterdam in 1 hour and 7 minutes. A single ticket in 2nd class is € 14.60 if bought from the vending machine, or € 15.10 if bought at the counter. A reservation is not required, just buy your tickets on arrival at the train station.

There is also a coach service from the Weeze airport to Amsterdam, coaches take
3 ½ hours via Nijmegen and Utrecht. Coaches are departing at 23:59 (11:59pm) daily, at 16:30 (04:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and at 15:00 (03:00pm) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Single fare € 32.00; return fare
€ 58.00 if bought online, € 3.00 surcharge at the desk.

Train would be easiest. However, if you want to go to Amsterdam, why don't you just get a flight to Amsterdam from London? Much easier.
  • Jean-Michel says:
Amsterdam is 180 kilometres from the airport, an airport, we would hasten to add, is in the middle of nowhere. Ryanair only fly there because the landing fees are cheap and they do not care how people get from such airports to their destination.

OK, this is how you do it - an absolute nightmare:

First take the shuttle bus to Kevelaer - 20 minutes
    Then take train to Geldern
At Geldern take SEV bus to Kempen(Niederrhein)
At Kempen(Niederrhein) take train to Düsseldorf Hbf
At Düsseldorf Hbf change trains for direct train to Amsterdam.

The information we have provided is 100% accurate. The fare 58 Euros, second class is inclusive of all trains and buses.

planning a trip from miami to Dusseldorf, Germany to Tel a Viv, Israel. Will this cause a problem at all?

Q: i know flying directly to Israel is not a problem, but does Germany have a problem if they know i will be flying there after? I also plan to stop by Amsterdam for a couple of days.. THANKS!

A: will be a good idea to get the Israeli visa separate not put on your passport just in case in the next few years you visit an Arab country, saw some English guys have all manner of problems in Cairo a few years back as they took a holiday in Israel the year before.I am sure if I went back to the States with many stamps from Cuba,China,Russia, and Mongolia, I am sure I would get the evil eye. Enjoy Amsterdam, funkiest city in Europe.

If it was a problem why would they allow flights? Do you really think Germany has official anti-Semitic regulations?
  • Goupidan says:
Germany does not maintain Hitlerian policies, so there is no problem.

any direct train from paris to dusseldorf?

Q: afternoon from paris to dusseldorf, then dusseldorf back to paris in morning around 8 am

A: As far as I can see there are no direct trains, but search for yourself:
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=9684&seqnr=1&ident=mt.01751184.1279173284&rt=1&newrequest=yes&&country=overseas

There are many trains each day where you have to change only once. And travel time is about 4 hours each direction.
I hope you want to leave for Paris at 8 AM, because there are not trains that will get you there that early in the morning.

Singapore or Germany for work?

Q: Hi all,

I got an opportunity to work (IT job) in Singapore & Germany- Dusseldorf.
Which one should I chose and why?
bw I dont know German and mainly I am looking at the medical facility ,work culture ad life at that place.

Kindly suggest which is best

A: I would say Germany. Singapore is the worst place to live in. People here are very arrogant and will make your day to day life difficult. Choose wisely. Germany is the best place to work.

A: Since you say you don't speak German you will not get a work visa for Germany, it is a requirement to provide proof of your German skills for example a course at a Goethe institute to get a student or work visa.
You do need a visa unless you are a German or other EU citizen.

Singapore is an English speaking country and for this reason the better option.
