Q: Is this an okay way to travel? Dublin - Cork flight. Then a bus from Cork - Blarney. Fly from Dublin to Edinburgh. Then Edinburgh to London. I know there are busses, ferries, and trains that travel throughout UK and Ireland, but it's so much faster and way cheaper to fly.
Any advice?
A: Getting a train to Cork from Dublin would take about 3 hours or so, getting a bus would take about 4 and a half hours or so, flying would take about 45 mins or an hour. But if you fly you first have to get out to Dublin airport, about 40 mins by an airport express bus - longer by a regular Dublin Bus. Then you have to check in say roughly no later than an hour before departure - so in essence the whole flying thing could take say 2 and a half hours or so. Still faster than a train but when you get to Cork airport you then have to get into the city, say another half an hour by bus. The train station in Cork is roughly a 5 to 10 minute walk to the city centre. I think if you book ahead you can get from Dublin to Cork and vice versa for €10 each way, see: http://www.irishrail.ie
You don't have to fly to Scotland to get to London - just fly Dublin or Cork to London : ) Unless you actually wanna see Edinburgh? Oh,you prob do, lol. You might be able to fly from Edinburgh to London with either Easyjet or Flybe.

Q: Hi all,
I'm a 25 year old woman thinking about taking my first solo travel trip, to Dublin, in June. I want to be able to meet new people and socialize but I don't think I want to stay at a hostel. Any recommendations on bed and breakfast accommodations in Dublin?
A: Hi from Dublin,
June is a busy time for Dublin accommodation but you will still have plenty of choice.

Q: i live in spain, i'm a student, i'm from morocco, and i hold a spanish residence permit which name in spanish ( tarjeta de regimen comunitario), of five years.
my question is: is t possible to travel to dublin with my residence card.
thanks a lot , in advance............
A: No, as a Moroccan citizen to travel internationally you must use a passport & as a Moroccan citizen you will require a visa to visit the Republic of Ireland
http://www.irlanda.es/home/index.aspx?id=34010
Also, the Republic of Ireland is not a member of the Schengen Agreement so you won't be covered under its terms.
Q: Hi
I wish to travel to Dublin for business at the end of this month. I am in Dubai right now on vacation for a month on tourist visa. I have been to Dublin twice earlier on business. Do you know if I can apply for a Irish visa from Dubai. I am an Indian national and have an Indian passport.
Thanks in advance!
A: Yes, you may address your application to any Irish Embassy abroad. But don't expect a quick decision since in general the application will be transmitted to the Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service which will need to obtain background information from the Irish Embassy in India. This process may take 6-8 weeks.
You need to fill the application online, forward it to the Embassy or Visa Facilitation Office, print-out the application summary, and forward it together with your supporting documents by mail.
Btw: I would never try to apply for a visa from a country other than my home country and risk to be stuck without a passport in a foreign country..
