Is it wise to start a small business in International City in Dubai?
Q: I am planning to start a small retail business, and the rent in Dubai is .. well if you can answer my question you know how it is. I know International City has a bad reputation for being ghetto and stinky, but would you go to a shop in International City?
A: If opening a small business is smart, depends on your financial background, what kind of business you have in mind, if you have a sponsor and if you are able to obtain a trade license.
Anyway - keep in mind that you got the Dragon Mart in the neigbourhood. Take also into consideration: is there demand for my business, who will be my customers, etc.

In Dubai will a newborn receive their passport based on the father or mother?

the only business that will work there is that serves the local residents there.
outsiders will not coem there for misc shoping, unless u have something extraordinary and advertise it good.
people usually come to visit dragon mart from far off places . not inside international city or clusters.
the place dosent stink as much as u may think. rarely and in soem corners. not every where.
the other advantage is that the rents r less there and therefore the place will always be populated as far as i think.
