Where is a good residential area to look for a flat (apartment) in Copenhagen?
Q: I am looking for a cheap flat in Copenhagen around the University of Copenhagen. I want to pay less than 3000 Kron (500 USD) and I do not want a roommate. I have never been to the city or Denmark and have no idea where to look. Also I need the place quickly and for about 4 months.
Any suggestions for neighborhoods? Websites with apartment listings? HELP anyone?
A: For less than 3.000,- kroner, it will be almost impossible for you to get anything in Copenhagen.
You might be lucky to get a small room with a shared kitchen and bathroom.

As for finding one, there is Den blå avis (dba.dk) but I think it is all in Danish. I would contact the university and ask them.

A friend is paying DKK 3600/month for her room in a share in and that's the cheapest place she was able to find.
You are not going to find anywhere without a roommate for DKK3000 in Copenhagen - and if you went outside the city to find one, any savings would be negated by your transportation costs.
Frederiksberg is the area where most of the city's people live, where you can find a tiny but sufficient student room for around DKK 3.500, more or less.
