Private Tour of Downton Abbey
The British television series “Downton Abbey” has been a massive hit worldwide, not least in Canada and the USA, as it follows the lives of the fictional Earl and Countess of Grantham, their family and their “downstairs” staff. Series 3 started on PBS in January 2013 and covered the roaring 20’s and introduced Shirley MacLaine to the cast to go head to head with Dame Maggie Smith! Series 4, Info for Downton Abbey on PBS
Although set in Yorkshire “Downton Abbey” is filmed at Highclere Castle west of London with the village scenes being shot in nearby Bampton in Oxfordshire. Highclere is a wonderful example of an English Stately Home and is the home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon.
Now you can join Cruise with Bruce Enterprises and visit the home of Downton Abbey on a Highclere Castle tour with our group. Visit the locations you have enjoyed seeing on the last three seasons of PBS’s Downton Abbey. Several tours featuring Downton are sold out. Get on the email list to join the next open tour.
