Chef Harry Schwartz and his wife now own the Heritage Trail Vineyards and Winery in Lisbon Connecticut which features fine wines, his fourth restaurant, a boutique batch gelateria and smoke house. He and his wife Laurie who is Vintner of Heritage Trail live in the Historic John Palmer House on the Vineyard. Join Chef Harry as he talks about his accomplishments and passes on culinary tips on my next program. After Harvard Business School Chef Harry started a scrap metal recycling business in the 80′s, started and sold three successful restaurants, authored five books and was a regular contributor to the Today Show and hosted the popular PBS TV show Chef Harry & Friends. His last book in 2006 was “Star Grazing – Chef Harry and His Celebrity Friends”. His first cookbook was, “Easygoing Entertaining” which launched his career as media chef in Malibu. In addition to The Today Show, he has appeared as a regular contributor on KTLA-CBS in Los Angeles and currently on CBS and Fox in Nashville and FOX61 in Connecticut. Chef Harry serves as a creative and media spokesperson and consultant for several corporations. He also contributes to various news and talk shows. In September, 2010, Harry teamed with the Defense Commissary Agency (for the US military) and the National Watermelon Promotions Board’s “Eat Healthy and Be Active Your Way” campaign.
